[Abed] The Blanket Fort

"Tell me why we didn't do this sooner," Troy said, his arms full of pillows and sheets taken from the clothes box. The box had been pretty awesome the past few days, so he'd gotten sheet of various sizes, colors and themes. His favorite were the Transformers sheets with little Optimus Primes all over them.

So adorable, yet so deadly and awesome.

"I wish we could just live in a blanket fort. It'd be so awesome."

Except for when it rained. Or if the island turned back into England again.

Come to think of it, blanket forts weren't really a good idea when they were outdoors. It was a good thing that they'd decided on building this particular blanket fort indoors, where there was air conditioning, a roof, and most important of all, a TV.

There were a lot of really cool things about the island: the fact that you could turn a corner and Captain Malcolm Reynolds could be right there, that all the food was free, that your pet monkey from home could just turn up out of nowhere just in time to wear little monkey top hats in fake London.

Yeah, life was pretty awesome. Except for the fact that Troy had recently realized that he missed football a lot more than he ever thought he would.

At Greendale, he'd been able to play with no pressure at all. The team was awful. Like really, really awful. Like, one of the tight ends was a hunchback, bad. But it had still been football, and Troy still missed it.

He'd found a football in the games closet in the compound, and was currently walking with it, tossing it into the air. At least, until he was startled by the cry of a bird and the ball slipped out of his hands, rolling away in that weird, floppy way footballs usually did.

"Stupid birds," Troy grumbled, "If you can't lead me to Trix, then what good are you?!"
